Revitalizing a 20-year Legacy:
Comprehensive UX Rebranding and WebDev

Objective:

Revitalize the company's brand to attract new clients and retain leads.

Challenge:

A 20-year-old company, built upon cutting-edge research and design projects, is struggling to attract new customers and retain leads.

Approach

It all starts with the defining the root problem, and asking the hard question of “who are we?” and “what do we want?”

Research

Why were we struggling to retain leads?

Through primary research, we were able to have a fuller understanding of the problem from both ends, client and company:

  1. 80% of clients were confused about services.
  2. Dated projects from 15 years ago
  3. Identity crisis with no primary target client.

Developing a new brand and content strategy

Based on the insights from the brand audit and areas for improvement, I worked with principals to develop a new brand and content strategy that communicated the company's unique value proposition and differentiated it from competitors

Developing Iterative Prototypes

User research study revealed the current pain points and needs of the company's target audience. Using the insights from the study, we redesigned the website to better align with the company's brand and improve user experience. To rapidly test ideas and gather feedback, we created lo-fi prototypes that allowed us to evaluate usability and design aesthetics at an early stage.

Old vs New Site Structure

Simultaneously, I facilitated the engineering team in overhauling site structures to enhance performance and user experience. By providing clear objectives, data insights, and user feedback, I ensured the team was aligned and empowered to make informed decisions. This collaborative effort resulted in a streamlined, efficient, and user-friendly site structure, positively impacting engagement and satisfaction.

Feedback

Example of feedback from final iteration.
I redesigned the website UI/UX by understanding the pain points of the company and its target clients through user research. Working with stakeholders, we gained valuable feedback that shaped final decisions and played a crucial role in the successful launch of the website.
